Club Statement

The University of Abidjan is composed of different clubs that prepare students for professional life more quickly and allow them to be more presentable and confident in a way they look, act, stand and dress in all circumstances. Every student of the University of Abidjan is automatically eligible to join any club of his/her choice. It should be noted that students could only join one club at a time. This policy hereby presents the different recognized clubs within the university. It also states the conditions required for joining these clubs.


This section presents the 7 clubs at the University of Abidjan. The clubs with their activities are given below;

UNIABIDJAN Music Club provides every student with the opportunity to learn and develop a deeper understanding of music through performances and listening activities.

Being part of this club and actively participating in its activities can enormously help you to improve your communication skills, especially for the shy ones. This ability can be decisive for the student’s professional career, especially if after studies, he or she has to manage teams or be in direct contact with clients or collaborators.
It is apparent that the club can help them improve their writing, negotiation and verbal communication skills. The Literary Clubs are subdivided into: Press Club and Debating Society.

UNIABIDJAN Dance Club encourages participation in dance events irrespective of the student’s degree of talent. Also, it provides an opportunity to better the dancing skills of students through constant engagement and also through workshops.


UNIABIDJAN Drama Club is designed for students interested in learning more about the theatre arts. This includes learning stage terminology, working on acting skills, stage management, and costumes/makeup design.

Press Club engages students in the production and dissemination of news. The press generally has to do with gathering, evaluating and disseminating facts of current interest and events about the University and happenings around the world.


Sports Clubs are to promote and develop interest in a particular sport or physical activity. The Sport Clubs of the University of Abidjan provide a valuable learning experience through student involvement in fundraising, public relations, organization, administration, budgeting, scheduling, teaching, and leadership development. Sport Clubs are strictly voluntary and involvement in a Sport Club should enhance the student’s college experience and contribute to the student’s overall education, wellness and physical fitness. The UNIABIDJAN Sport Clubs currently have two teams: Football and Basketball. The objective is to inspire students to get involved in unique and ambitious projects. Projects that give them the opportunity to participate in different competitions and win trophies on behalf of the University .

Students in entrepreneurship club often leave school with a solidly constructed business network, which can be priceless to future business startup owners.
Joining the club is a good opportunity to initiate, exercise and practice leadership.

Developing this skill can help the student not only at university but also throughout his or her life, whether personal or professional.
It also helps students to set up small online activities, physically set up or writes business plans for a prime medium to long term project.

UNIABIDJAN Entrepreneurship and Leadership Club enables students to meet with other students and local business founders or investors and think through issues together Budding entrepreneurs can discover who they like to work with and how they like to work, and can make connections that last beyond graduation, connections that could lead to startup financing, access to professional business organizations, and more.
