Mrs Stella C. Okoronkwo is a professional of over twenty years of experience in International Development, Communication, Research, Counseling, Grant Writing, Program Management, Donor Reporting, Capacity Building, Partnership Development, Community Development, Higher Education, Writing, Editing and Publishing, gained from leading international organizations in Africa.
She is a well-known teacher different institution of higher learning in Abidjan where she has taught: International Business Communication, Contemporary Issues in Marketing, Performance Management and Rewards, Change Management in Organizations and Organizational Theory and Practice and Principles of Management since 2015.
She is the Founding President of a Community-based NGO – Les Femmes en Mission pour le Dévelopment – FEMDEV (Women with a Mission for Development), Abidjan, Côte d’Ivoire since 2006.
Mrs. Stella C. OKORONKWO shares her knowledge and experience with our students at the University of Abidjan (UNIABIDJAN) in Buyer and Consumer Behaviour and Operations Management.


  • Masters in Communication for Development 2003-2009 with Malmo University, Sweden. Thesis on HIV/AIDS communication strategies of a community-based NGO that works with youth in Cote d’Ivoire.
  • Masters in Social Sciences (Communication major) 1993 with Wheaton College, Illinois, USA. Thesis on “ The image of women in Kenya magazines.”
  • Diploma in Translation (French/English) 1999 with University of South Africa (UNISA).
  • Bachelor of Arts in Modern European Languages, (French Major) 1982 University of Ife, Nigeria (now Obafemi Awolowo University). Ethnographic research on the Aboure people of Cote d’Ivoire coupled with a Diplome d'Etudes Francaises, University of Abidjan, Cote d'Ivoire, a one-year course abroad in 1980/81, a requirement for the B.A program.
  • Short course on Writing Effectively with the Commonwealth of Learning in 2005.
