Student Representative Council (SRC)

The Student Representative Council is an association that represents, defends and promotes students’ interests in the governance of the University.

The SRC, acronym for Student Representative Council, is the mouthpiece of the students. They voice out students’ concerns.

Officially, the SRC is the statutorily-recognized body for students’ representation in the University.

Currently, the UNIABIDJAN’s SRC consists of 15 members who either represent other student organizations or are independents and work in close collaboration with the Department of Students’ Affairs.

Basically, the SRC members’ characteristics and responsibilities are the following:

  • Having a good character and conduct
  • Being active in the school community
  • Being approachable
  • Being regular and punctual at school
  • Liaising with faculty and administrative staff about upcoming events
  • Organizing events for students in collaboration with the Department of Students’ Affairs.


The UNIABIDJAN SRC members official tenure starts in September (beginning of the Academic Session) and ends in August (end of the Academic Session). They are elected annually. All of them are pure bilinguals and are groomed in the spirit of leadership and entrepreneurship.
